a lost cause

I'm optimist. I think somebody may stumble in my blog by accident and read this one.

This one is to all the english-speaking people.

You are so ignorant.

You are so ignorant of your own language. I'm so tired of seeing that most people can't tell the difference between "it's" and "its", "your" and "you're", "we're" and "were", "their" and "they're". I studied english for not so much time, and the difference between "it's" and "its" was immediately clear to me, and I never forgot it. It's so sad to see that websites and even newspapers are filled with stuff written by people who has no clue of what the
saxon genitive may be. I feel embarassed because sometime I'd want to teach you your own language.

Every time I think that Italians are not so good in grammar, I recall that a lot of english-speaking people isn't even able to properly SPELL words in their own language. And I'm so angry at them and I'm so discouraged.

So, since I'm optimistic, I think that maybe one or two out of millions of english-speaking Internet users may read this one by accident and realize: "yes, I'm so ignorant, I can't even tell the difference between "its" and "it's" and I feel ashamed".
